# Cycloastragenol

Cycloastragenol ist das Aglykon von Astragalosid IV, ein Hydrolyseprodukt vom Cycloartan-Typ aus der Wurzel von Astragalus membranaceus. In Zellsystemen aktiviert es die Telomerase-Reverse-Transkriptase (TERT) mild und vorübergehend und verbessert in Nagetiermodellen kardiale, neurologische und metabolische Endpunkte. Humandaten beschränken sich auf kleine Studien mit der proprietären TA-65-Formulierung; eine unabhängige belastbare RCT für freies Cycloastragenol an Aging-Endpunkten existiert nicht. Subchronische Toxizitäts- und Genotoxizitätsstudien stützen die Verwendung als Nahrungsergänzung; Cycloastragenol wird in den USA unter DSHEA und in der EU als Supplement vertrieben, hat aber Stand 2026 keine arzneiliche Zulassung.
