What is Longevity Krakow?

Longevity Krakow is the free Polish chapter of this community, with no fee to belong and no charge for most of what appears on the calendar. We take what ageing research reports and test it against an ordinary Krakow week. For this subject the city is a strange mixture. Winter smog still decides when people train outdoors, while the Vistula boulevards, the Błonia meadow and the forest at Las Wolski give anybody all the room they need. Cold water swimming, morsowanie in Polish, has been a local habit for decades, long before recovery turned into a marketing word.

Krakow is a university city, which changes the conversation. The Jagiellonian University was founded in 1364, its medical campus in Prokocim is among the largest in Poland, and AGH keeps filling the city with engineers who like data. Nearly every month brings a meetup, a talk or a workshop that ends in something usable: a blood panel you can finally interpret, a strength plan on paper, a bedtime that holds. Anyone presenting has to name their sources, since a good share of the room can check them.

Search for a longevity clinic in Krakow and results come fast, because private medicine here is large, cheap by Western European standards and used to foreign patients: screening packages, imaging, drip rooms, hormone practices and private laboratories on what feels like every second street. Longevity Krakow is part of none of it. Nothing here is for sale, no doctor works for us, and we run no testing, no treatment and no paid programme. What you get is people who already bought those services describing how it went, plus a community Spots map of labs, gyms and studios that we list without any medical judgement.

The room mixes medical students from the Jagiellonian with software people from Zabłocie and Podgórze, trainers, parents and a fair number of internationals who moved here for work. Evenings run in Polish or in English depending on who is speaking. An account is free, there is a local chat group, and nobody screens applicants. Dates for the coming weeks are listed below.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Longevity Krakow?+
Longevity Krakow is a free community in the city for people chasing healthy years rather than a longer number, and it belongs to the Longevity Cities network. Through the year there are meetups, talks from people who work in the field, and workshops, open to anyone and almost always free. Nobody sells a programme. Medical students, doctors, engineers and outright beginners sit in one room and compare what has held up for them.
Is Longevity Krakow a longevity club or a health club?+
You can call Longevity Krakow a club in the loose sense, but not the paid kind. There is no subscription, no gym floor, no locker room, no minimum term. Krakow does sell memberships of that sort, in premium gyms with saunas and recovery zones, and some of our people use them. Our part is the free one: events anyone can attend, a chat that stays open, and a map of the spots worth knowing, none of it paywalled.
Is there a longevity centre in Krakow?+
Krakow has private centres offering what people mean by longevity medicine, though Longevity Krakow is neither one of them nor an operator of one. Polish private clinics are unusually affordable, which is why diagnostic packages, imaging, hormone consultations and intravenous drips are easy to find here and popular with visitors from abroad. We sit next to that market as the free community version. Our Spots map records what exists, and no one at an event profits from your choice.
Where can I find a longevity doctor or private clinic in Krakow?+
We do not place people with named doctors, since a community is not a referral service. In Poland you can walk into private practice without a referral and pay out of pocket, which is how most of our members handle extended panels and check-ups, while anything genuinely clinical belongs with a physician you can go back to. Krakow has internists, cardiologists, endocrinologists and sports medicine practices working on prevention. Ask in the group and you get first-hand accounts rather than advertising.
Can Longevity Krakow recommend a longevity coach?+
Longevity Krakow has no coaches on the team and sells no coaching, so there is nothing to book with us. Krakow does have personal trainers, dietitians and doctors describing themselves as longevity coaches, at rates far below Western European ones, which makes trying one cheaper and a bad choice less painful. Ask the community how an hour with a given provider actually went. Several members got further with a written plan and a fixed bedtime.
What longevity events, meetups and biohacking sessions happen in Krakow?+
Krakow gets meetups, expert talks and workshops where you do the work yourself, with community challenges running alongside. Subjects rotate through biological age, nutrition, strength work, VO2max, sleep, winter air quality and whichever biohacking device people keep asking about. What is coming up is listed on this page, in the event listing and in the local chat group, normally two weeks or more in advance. If you have been looking for a biohacking meetup in Krakow, this is the free one.
Is Longevity Krakow free?+
Yes, the account costs nothing and almost every Krakow event is free to attend. No tiers, no trial period that converts itself into a subscription, no card at the door. A format occasionally carries a fee when a room or a piece of equipment has to be covered, in which case the amount is written on the event page in advance. The guides and the biological age tool need only a login.
How do I join Longevity Krakow?+
Pick the easiest route: open a free account on this site, ask for an invite to the local chat group, or turn up at the next event and introduce yourself. There is no application, no interview, no waiting list. Coming alone the first time is what most people do, and somebody will bring you into a conversation. If you only want the dates, follow the chapter on Instagram and skip the group chat.
Where can I test my biological age in Krakow (DEXA, VO2max, bloodwork)?+
Krakow is a good city for this, because private laboratories sell extended blood panels directly to walk-in customers at prices that surprise visitors, sports medicine centres run spiroergometry for VO2max, and gyms or clinics offer DEXA and bioimpedance body composition scans. None of that happens through us. The estimate from our free online tool is a starting number, and local labs and studios appear on the Spots map. The group will tell you which panel is worth paying for.
Are Longevity Krakow events in Polish or in English?+
Both, depending on who is speaking. Talks run in Polish or in English, slides are usually English either way, and switching language mid evening is normal in a city with this many international employers. If you searched in Polish, for Kraków and długowieczność, you have landed in the right place, and most of the technical vocabulary stays English anyway, so healthspan or VO2max need no translation. This site itself is available in English and German.
Is longevity research happening in Krakow?+
Yes, mostly through the Jagiellonian University, which was founded in 1364 and now runs its medical faculty and university hospital on the Prokocim campus in the south of the city. AGH contributes engineering and biomedical data work, and a life science park sits beside the university. That density is why a talk here often turns into an argument about method rather than about headlines.
Which parts of Krakow do you meet in, and does the surrounding area count?+
The venue changes: one evening in the centre or in Kazimierz, the next in the office districts at Zabłocie or Podgórze, always close to a tram line. The exact address goes on the event page. Regulars travel in from Wieliczka, Niepołomice and Skawina, people from Katowice occasionally make the trip, so we treat the whole Krakow area as one catchment rather than the city limits.
