What is Longevity Paris?

Longevity Paris is a free community for people who want to add healthy years, and it is the Paris chapter of the Longevity Cities network. The city is an odd sort of home match for the subject. Parisians walk their errands, eat sitting down and treat a two-hour lunch as a reasonable use of a Tuesday, while the serious research sits a few metro stops away at the Institut Pasteur, at Sorbonne Université and in the ageing and metabolism work coming out of hospitals such as the Pitié-Salpêtrière. Between the art de vivre and the papers, hardly anyone gets a plain answer about what actually moves the needle.

So we meet and talk it through. Free meetups where the room does most of the work, expert talks with researchers and clinicians, hands-on workshops, and community challenges that run a few weeks at a time. The recurring subjects: biological age, sleep, nutrition without the moralising, strength training, VO2max (how much oxygen your body can actually use when you push it), and what a full blood panel does and does not reveal. Biohacking comes up at every event, usually within ten minutes, and usually followed by someone asking which trial that came from.

To be plain about it, Longevity Paris is not a longevity centre, not a clinic, not a private health club and not a coaching business. Nothing costs anything and there is nothing to buy. Paris does have a real commercial scene around the topic, from anti-age and preventive check-up practices clustered in the 16e and out towards Neuilly to private laboratories selling extended panels and studios advertising longevity training. Members who have paid for those say openly what the report was worth to them. Our community Spots map collects local labs, gyms, studios and longevity-friendly practices as a starting point, and we vet nobody medically.

The room usually holds a mix: doctors, researchers from the Sorbonne and the Saclay campuses, founders out of Station F, a few long-time trackers with five years of their own data, and people who read one book and want a sanity check. Events run in French and in English, decided per event and stated in the listing. To start, create a free account, join the Paris WhatsApp group or turn up at the next event. Nobody is vetted at the door.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Longevity Paris?+
Longevity Paris is a free community for anyone in the city interested in healthspan, prevention and ageing research, and it is the Paris chapter of the Longevity Cities network. We run meetups, expert talks and workshops that are open to everybody, with no fee, no application and no required background. A cardiologist can end up sitting next to somebody who started reading about the subject three weeks ago, which is roughly the point of the whole thing. Nothing is sold at our events and no one is asked to prove a level of knowledge first.
Is Longevity Paris a longevity club or a private health club?+
Club in the social sense only. Longevity Paris has no premises, no equipment, no membership fee and no reception desk. A private health club in Paris sells you a locker, a gym floor and perhaps a spa, which is a perfectly reasonable thing to buy and a completely different business from ours. What you get here is a group of people who read the same studies and meet in the evening to argue about them. Anyone living in Paris or the surrounding region can take part, with no waiting list and no referral needed.
Is there a longevity centre in Paris?+
Yes, several private centres in Paris now market longevity assessments, and Longevity Paris is not one of them. Most work on a self-pay basis and combine an extended blood panel, imaging, a fitness test and an estimate of biological age, with the better known addresses sitting in the 16e and along the western edge of the city. We hold no premises, employ no medical staff and have nothing you could book. What we do have is members who went through one of those assessments and will tell you what the report changed for them.
Where can I find a longevity doctor, clinic or bilan de santé in Paris?+
We cannot refer you to anyone, since Longevity Paris provides no treatment and employs no medical staff. The city has preventive and functional medicine practices, anti-age clinics and check-up centres selling a bilan de santé, mostly private and mostly concentrated in the wealthier western arrondissements, alongside the public system built around the AP-HP hospitals. Our Spots map collects longevity-friendly practices and laboratories that members have actually visited, with no medical vetting from our side. Asking in the community usually gets you a frank first-hand answer the same day.
Does Longevity Paris offer coaching, training or a personal programme?+
No. Nobody here is on a payroll as a coach, there is no plan to buy and no programme with a start date. What the free talks and workshops give you is the reasoning behind the advice, so you can judge a coach's offer yourself: the evidence around resistance training after forty, what an easy aerobic session is meant to achieve, how much a single VO2max figure really tells you. Plenty of Paris studios advertise longevity training. Several members have paid for one and report back candidly on how it went.
What longevity events, meetups and biohacking sessions happen in Paris?+
The Paris calendar runs on three free formats: meetups where conversation is the whole agenda, expert talks with a researcher or clinician, and workshops where you actually try the thing being discussed. Themes rotate through sleep, nutrition, biological age testing, training and the supplements people keep asking about. Community challenges sit alongside them, a few weeks on one shared habit. Venues move around rather than staying put, so one evening might land near République and the next in the 11e. Dates appear on this page, in the events feed and in the Paris WhatsApp group.
Is there a longevity conference or summit in Paris?+
Paris has become a regular stop for the commercial longevity and biohacking circuit, with ticketed summits and trade shows booking large venues in and around the city each year. Longevity Paris runs none of them and charges for nothing. Some members attend, then report back at the next meetup on which talks were worth the time and which stands were mainly there to sell something. If you searched for a longevity conference in Paris and landed here, this is the free community version of the same interest, held in much smaller rooms.
Is Longevity Paris free?+
Yes. Membership costs nothing and almost every event is free to attend, with no tiers, no annual fee and no upsell arriving three emails later. Now and then a format carries a genuine cost, for instance when a venue charges entry or a laboratory charges for a test. That is stated in the listing before you register, and the money goes to the venue or the lab rather than to us. The site itself, the bilingual guides and the biological age tool cost nothing at all.
How do I join Longevity Paris?+
Pick whichever is least effort. A free account on this site takes a minute, the Paris WhatsApp group is open to anyone who asks, and you can also skip both and simply come to the next event. There is no form to fill in, no interview and no approval step. The WhatsApp group tends to be where dates, last-minute changes and questions land first, so most people start there and read quietly for a while. Instagram and LinkedIn carry the same announcements. Bringing a friend to a first meetup is completely normal.
Where can I test my biological age in Paris (DEXA, VO2max, bloodwork)?+
Paris is well supplied: DEXA body composition scans in radiology and sports medicine practices, VO2max testing at cardiology and performance labs, and extended blood panels through private laboratories that take a prescription or sell direct. We run none of it and take no commission from anyone who does. Before spending money, the free biological age tool here gives you a first orientation without an appointment. Members post prices and results openly, which is the quickest way to avoid paying for a panel that nobody then explains to you.
Which languages do Longevity Paris events run in?+
French and English, decided per event and stated in the listing. Paris draws a large international crowd, so a talk with a visiting researcher often runs in English while the conversation afterwards drifts back into French without anyone announcing the switch. If a speaker presents in French, you can ask your question in English and someone in the room will translate. People who searched for longévité rather than longevity are in the right place: same subject, same free community, with the site and guides available in English and German.
Does Longevity Paris cover the wider Île-de-France?+
Yes. The chapter is based in Paris, but the catchment is the whole Île-de-France, and members travel in from Boulogne-Billancourt, Saint-Denis, Versailles and the Saclay campuses because the RER makes a weekday evening realistic. Meetups stay inside the city for that reason, usually close to a metro or RER interchange, with the exact address always in the event listing. If the trip is too long midweek, the community feed, the bilingual guides and the running challenges work perfectly well from home.
